The Botanist
I worked on these collage pieces a while back, and was thinking of selling them in sets they do look nice together in a grouping, each one was inspired by Nature Studies, Forest Walks, collecting bits of natures gifts found on walks. The Botanist was created after watching Miss Potter, one of my favorite movies that I could watch over and over, her interest in Nature and Countryside is shown so beautifully through her little white books.
The English Fairy collage was made with the same creative mood, a Victorian Naturalist adorned with glittery fairy wings, heading out for a walk to the fields to look for specimens to study and display, to remind her of the elements of nature found close to home.

Nature Fairies
While out on a walk through the woods I spotted some promising signs of Spring that the nature fairies made. Buds of Pussy Willows are found this time of year near small ponds or rivers. They look like little cotton balls or maybe even pillows for the fairies.
Well now I plan to warm up and make some chamomile tea, this tea smells of summer to me, like flowers in the field. In the northern area that we live spring is usually late April to May before she arrives, so in the mean time I will read Brambly Hedge Spring Story to keep me motivated till then.
I put together a new set of collage papers, made into a paper bundle this one has nice egg prints and many nest prints too.

Happy Easter, Welcome Spring
Wishing you Easter Greetings! Isn't it nice to welcome the spring...to see the flowers bloom and hear the Robins sing! I saw my first Robin yesterday. Easter time reminds us of the joy of all things new. May this Easter bring the special joy to you and please warm weather too, for all my friends here in the North. Thought I would share a few pictures around my house decorated for spring. My little French Easter postcard hanging on my old wooden ladder, and a few spring charms on my mannequin. The sweet little Bunny & Egg trinket box was a Easter Gift from my Mom. thanks again Mom! Going to have to hide it from my little bunny or she might want to play with it.

So Nice
Thought I would share a lovely little message from Kim who purchased some pieces from my shop. "your Dove Grey shop is exquisite as are your wondrous creations offered. I look forward to receiving these. I know the Birds Vintage Sheet Music Print shall go framed in my library and the sweetly irresistible Lavande Charm shall hang from the neck of an olde bottle filled with lavande buds. The gorgeous Marie Antionette Paper bundle offers so many possibilities. Many Thanks." Many thanks to you Kim for your lovely comment, your package it on it's way.
I took a few pictures, looking for one to use as a postcard, this is the one I like best.

Lavande
As promised I mentioned in my last post that I would share a picture of my latest flea market find, here is on one of the old bottles that I picked up with a new charm around it. I used a bit of cheese cloth to tie the charm on the bottle and used the french spelling of Lavender "Lavande" on the front of this charm and the back of this little one is a stamped image onto old book paper. I put this little display on my window sill near my ironing board makes ironing more fun. I have been working on a few other decor, charm designs and with share those pics with you later this week. Thank you for all your lovely comments and stopping by to visit.
